Syncritism

We just did a big thing on syncritism. I found this subject somewhat interesting. I liked how Buddhism was syncritized into China. The way the Buddhist king had to preform "miracles" and "magic" to awe people into convertion was interesting. It was how similar Daoism and Buddhism were, as the two countries were not very well connected, China being isolated from most other civilizations. I wonder why Japan accepted Buddhism so well, as they were not as isolated as China, they had a lot of cultural pride, I was surprised that they accepted it at all. It was so well taken that the Emproer was able to make public works for it so easily. I would enjoy going over how other things syncronized. I think that the homework was an introduction on syncronizm of Middle Eastern culture, but I don't know.

Themes in history on religion

Through the course of AP World, we have gone through several things regarding religion. We studied the Egyptian religions, the Shang's verenation of ansectors, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Confusianism. I think that these religions were very complex and gave me insight on the topics of ap world. These religions would greatly impact other peoples, as the Aryans created Hinduism to demean the Indus. They explained a great deal about the Ancient World and its peoples, giving people rituals and moral codes of ethics. These religions spread to different regions of the world, greatly influencing other cultures and sometimes even changing them dramaticaly.
